Expenses of the student in the foreign country would be paid by the host university, and vice versa.
"This is to ensure that St Xavier's College does not end up paying, for instance, Rs 1 crore, while a student from the corresponding foreign university spends only a few hundred dollars to finish the course in India.
Both universities should end up paying the same amount on every student they send overseas for completion of a course," explained the principal.
The college had about 4,000 students and 140 teachers including part-timers at last count.
It planned to accommodate a lot more students and teachers from July this year.
"We should also be able to offer more scholarships to students," said the principal.
