Harrington said the three windows behind the altar, which depict
the risen Christ and church patrons St.John and St.
Paul, would be the
first to be restored along with the recently shattered panel in a side
window.
“After that, we will move on to the other windows, including repairs to
the window that shattered,” she said.
“All of the windows will be
removed over time from their frames and trucked to the firm’s workshop
for repairs.
Once a window is removed, the restoration process takes
approximately four months to complete.”
Saving history
Ms.
Harrington said that, to date, the parish had raised about $17,000
from its congregation, only a fraction of the amount needed to restore
all of the windows.
